Feeding Mushima Village (Zambia)

Our hearts don’t stop at our city’s borders. Through our Feeding Mushima Village program, the Zion Community Enrichment
Center extends its mission of food security across the Atlantic to a rural community in Zambia, Africa. Mushima Village faces
severe food insecurity driven by drought, limited agricultural resources, and economic hardship. Our partnership with local
leaders and organizations on the ground is working to change that — one meal, one harvest, and one family at a time.
Since launching this program, we have funded community meals, delivered agricultural supplies, and supported local farming
efforts in Mushima. Our goal is not dependency but empowerment — helping the community build sustainable food systems
they can own and grow independently for generations to come. We work in close collaboration with Zambian community
leaders to ensure our support is culturally respectful, strategically sound, and genuinely impactful

Program Overview

A partnership between Zion and local Zambian organizations focused on consistent food provision and long-term agricultural empowerment for Mushima Village residents.

Community Impact

Hundreds of villagers — including children, mothers, and elders — now have more reliable access to meals. Local farmers are equipped with better tools and seeds to grow their own food

How to Donate

A gift of just $10 provides meals for a child in Mushima for an entire month. Donations are tax-deductible and go directly to program operations, food, and agricultural supplies.

Get Involved

Join our awareness campaigns, sponsor a family, or share our story. Every action — no matter the size — ripples across the ocean and lands in Mushima as hope

“Before this program, we would sometimes go two or three days without a proper meal. Now our children eat every day.
We are so grateful to our brothers and sisters at Zion.”
— Community Elder, Mushima Village
